EMIR REFIT (EMIR REgulatory FITness Program) is the large-scale, mandatory regulatory update to the existing European Market Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR) derivative transaction reporting rules.
The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) conducted their regulatory fitness and performance programme (Refit) for the European Market Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR). The review found amendments to the regulation are necessary to address rising compliance costs and regulatory transparency issues.
